Zaxby's is a franchised chain of fast casual restaurants that operates in the southeastern United States.[1] In this chain there are about 350 locations.[2] The first Zaxby's was opened in Statesboro, Georgia, on the Georgia Southern University campus, by Zach McLeroy and Tony Townley, graduates of the University. [3] Its menu is built around buffalo wings and chicken fingers, including them on platters, in sandwiches, and on salads(called Zalads on their menu).[4] Some of the chain's popular entrees are the "Wings and Things," which includes wings and chicken fingers, and the "Big Zax Snak," which includes three chicken strips and toast. Crinkle-cut french fries are included in each meal. Zaxby's is also well known for its wide variety of unique dipping sauces such as the original Zax Sauce. Zaxby's serves soft drinks in the Coca-Cola family. The dining rooms at Zaxby's restaurants are decorated with assorted whimsical objects and posters, which often vary in theme by location and which occasionally are regionally aware. For instance, at one location in Gainesville, Florida, objects related to the University of Florida Gators are used as decorations. As well, at the Orlando, Florida location, citrus-industry themed decorations line the walls.
