Bryan was born in Aurora, Colorado, to Jenny and Dwight Bryan; his second cousin is NFL quarterback Brady Quinn.[1] He has a younger sister named Ciri and devotes some of his private time to children sick with AIDS and cancer.[citation needed]
Before he starred in Home Improvement, he started in Denver with print and television advertising. His interest in acting soon brought him to California, where he received the role in Home Improvement.
A hobby of his is soccer. He plays in a local amateur club called the Claremont Stars. In 1995 he attained a place in the California South Olympic Development Team for boys under 14.
He made a brief appearance in the TV series The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. In 2003, he made a guest appearance on an episode of Smallville. He played Eric Marsh, a high school baseball player using steroids made from meteor rock. He was the second Home Improvement alum to make a guest appearance on the show. In 2005, Bryan appeared as Bryan Nolan in ESPN's TV movie Code Breakers. He made an appearance on The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift as Clay. His most recent appearance was on the CBS show Shark. He had a feature film role as the school bully in the Sinbad comedy First Kid. Bryan has also appeared on the television series Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Veronica Mars.
He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife Carly and is working on a documentary with ESPN.
He is also an avid Louisiana State University football fan, he can be spotted at Baton Rouge bars after big games.
