Yakov Kreizberg

Yakov Kreizberg is a Russian conductor.

Born October 24, 1959 in St. Petersburg (then Leningrad), Russia (then USSR). In 1976 he emigrated to New York (with his mother, his father, a scientist, was not allowed to join them) he currently lives in Colorado. He is Chief Conductor of the Netherlands Philharmonic and Netherlands Chamber Orchestras, and Guest Conductor of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. In 2004 he was nominated for a Grammy Award (Best Engineered Album: Bruckner: Sym. No. 7, Yakov Kreizberg & Vienna Symphony Orchestra, (Roger De Schot & Erdo Groot, engineers)). He is the brother of conductor Semyon Bychkov.
