Wycliffe Grousbeck
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wycliffe "Wyc" Grousbeck is the owner of the basketball team the Boston Celtics. He graduated from Noble and Greenough School and Princeton University, where he rowed on an undefeated lightweight crew team that claimed the national rowing championship. He received a law degree from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Stanford Business School. Grousbeck, after leading a local investment group, Highland Capital Partners, bought the Celtics in 2002 for $360 million.
On January 19, 2007 after the Celtics were defeated by the Sacramento Kings, Wycliffe Grousbeck's wife Corinne reportedly invited several of her female friends into the Celtic locker room to meet the players and get autographs. At the time Celtic players were conducting post-game interviews and were in various states of undress. One report stated that one of Grousbeck's guests had her shoulder signed. League officials stated that the team is handling the matter in house, but that they would step in if there is ever a repeat of this incident.[1] [2]
