WWME-CA is a class A station in Chicago, Illinois. It is owned by Weigel Broadcasting, which also owns sister stations WCIU and WFBT-CA.

Until January 1, 2005, Channel 23 was a brokered-time ethnic station. This was originally the format of WCIU from 1964-December 31, 2004. That programming now airs on WFBT, although some ethnic shows still air early on Sunday mornings.

On January 1, 2005, WWME was relaunched as "Me-TV" (Memorable Entertainment Television). The "Me-TV" moniker originated on WCIU in the early 2000's to describe their afternoon programming block of older programs.

MeTV is also broadcast on digital subchannel 26.2 of WCIU, and offered on Comcast digital cable channel 223, and by various other cable and satellite television service providers. The airing of MeTV on WCIU's digital subchannel will be temporary, as Weigel currently holds a construction permit to move MeTV's digital signal to channel 39.

An old DX photo shows that WWME can trace itself to W23AT, a WFBT translator. The W23AT calls were also used for a low-power music videos station in Mokena, Illinois.
