WWF Excess

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

WWF Excess was a wrestling talk show that featured current WWF superstars and divas as guests and they would talk about current events that were going on at the moment, answer questions from fans via letter and email and also take an end phone call from the fans. It was hosted by Jonathan Coachman and Trish Stratus and in late 2001 was replaced by Terri Runnels as Trish Stratus became a full time wrestler. It was replaced by WWE Confidential later in 2002.

The Show feautured memorable appearances by Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Val Venis & The Big Show. WWF Excess was notable for the fact that on every episode they would show a classic match from the archives, This also took suggestions from the fans to relive their favorite classic matches. This was not just limited to archive WWE action either, as on occasion they would show classic WCW matches too. This section of the show which was screened in the last part of the show was called "From The Vault." These matches were often quite edited down for the show because of the time frame they were shown in.
