Vox ultrasonic

The Vox Ultrasonic or V268 was a mid-late sixties hollw body thinline electric guitar. Influenced by the Gibson thinline models such as the ES-335, but other than body shape was really very different. The Ultrasonic had no central maple block or set neck, making it more similar in construction to Fenders thinline guitar, the Coronado.

The Ultrasonic, (in fact all late sixties models) was manufactured for Vox by another guitar company Eko from Italy.

Vox were well regarded as effects box manufacturers and fitted numerous effects into their late sixties guitars too. The Ultrasonic was their high-end guitar and as such had all available effects built in.
