Vishwakarma Institute of Technology

Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT) is an engineering college affiliated to the University of Pune, India. It was established in 1984. The school is financed and run by the Bansilal Ramanath Agrawal Charitable Trust. Currently Mr. H. K. Abhyankar is the principal of the institute, which is known for educating some of the top engineers in India. The college is situated in Bibwewadi, Pune.

To provide quality education in the field of Information Technology, a sister institute, Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology (VIIT), was established in 2002. Courses offered here are Electronics engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication engineering, Computer engineering and Information Technology.
Vishwakarma Institute of Technology has a committee called Social Activity Committee. This committee has undertaken different activities such as Blood Donation Camp, Abhyasika, Lecture Series Organisation, Relief Funds. The committee was formally established in 2004 to group all the ongoing activities. Prof. H.M. Khare is Staff incharge of Social Activity Committee.
