Union Hall (Irish: Bréantrá) is a small fishing village located in County Cork, Ireland. Its nearest neighbour to the west is Castletownshend, to the east; Glandore. It is approximately 15 miles east of Skibbereen

One of its main tourist attractions are boat trips to see whale, dolphin and seal up close. Seals can be seen all year round, with dolphins and Fin Whale, Minke Whale and Humpback Whale arriving in the summer months.

According to the last census (2006) 192 people live in Unionhall, however, during the summer months, and at weekends throughout the year, the population swells with "second homers", mainly from Cork city. With the improvement in the roads, Union Hall is becoming a commuter village.

The village lies on the coast and has a small harbour for small fishing boats and other small craft. The village also lies on a hill - this shows itself through the narrow alleys in the east of the village.

During the "Civil War", "Free State" troops landed fron a ship, Helga?, at the quay in Union Hall, to out-flank the local Republican forces.

Unionhall has a total of four pubs, including Dinty's and Casey's. Casey's offer beautiful food, which can be enjoyed in their lovely garden (weather permitting!) that looks out across the sea. Definitely worth a visit or two.

The Céim Hill museum for archeology and history is to be found there.

The area around Unionhall is well known for its hills, woodlands, rivers and islands.

There is a Catholic church in the south of the village.

There is a Centra supermarket and many fish shops in Unionhall. There is also a post office.

Over the narrow Poulgorm Bridge one finds the R597 in the direction Glandore/Ross Carbery and Leap on the N71.
