USS Hurricane(PC-3) was the third Cyclone class Patrol (coastal) ship. Its keel laid on 20 November 1991, it was first launched on 6 June 1992 and commissioned on 15 October 1993. Along with all other Cyclone-class ships, it has been operated by the United States Coast Guard since November 2001 for homeland defense. [1]
