USS Cowpens (CG-63) is a Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser in the United States Navy. She is named for the Battle of Cowpens, an American victory near Cowpens, South Carolina, in the American Revolution.
Cowpens is currently forward-deployed and is homeported in Yokosuka, Japan.
In 2003, Cowpens became the first USN ship to attack in the new war with Iraq. She fired the first 37 Tomahawk cruise missiles.
