USS Brumby (FF-1044)

USS Brumby (FF-1044) was a destroyer escort (and later a frigate, fourth in its class) in the US Navy. It was named after Admiral Frank Hardeman Brumby. It was built in the early 1960's, and during the Vietnam War served in the Atlantic. It was launched in 1963 and co-sponsored by Adm. Brumby's granddaughters, Misses Muriel Tuckerman Fitzgerald and Cornelia Truxtun Fitzgerald.
