As with other branches of the United States Armed Forces, the United States Coast Guard has been depicted in popular culture numerous times. Below is a list of more notable appearances.
- A Coast Guard helicopter is used to rescue Maverick and Goose after they eject from their doomed F-14 in the film Top Gun.
- The USCGC Dauntless appears in the 1980 Peter Benchley thriller, The Island.
- A Coast Guard HH-65 helicopter was depicted chasing and apprehending a drug baron's single-engine plane in the opening of License to Kill.
- US Coast Guard helicopters and vessels make several appearances in the movie Bad Boys 2.
- A Coast Guard Cutter is shown rescuing storm victims in the film The Perfect Storm. A Coast Guard HU-25A Falcon is briefly seen as well.
