Trung Canidate is a running back in the NFL. Drafted out of Arizona, Canidate was selected with the 31st overall pick of the 2000 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams. With the addition of running back Marshall Faulk the previous year, there was much confusion with such a selection and most fans thought it was wasted. He got only 3 starts in his 3 seasons with St. Louis. Still, he was a major offensive contributor in their Super Bowl season of 2001, rushing for 441 yards, catching 17 passes for 154 yards, returning kickoffs for 748 yards, and scoring 6 touchdowns.

St. Louis dropped him from the roster after the 2002 season and he was picked up by the Washington Redskins. There, he won the starting spot and started 10 games, gaining 600 rushing yards and 1 touchdown. The next season, the Redskins traded Champ Bailey for all-star running back Clinton Portis, and Canidate spent the rest of his career on the Redskins' inactive list.
