Travis Smith (born April 29, 1982 in Bainbridge, Georgia) is the drummer in the mainstream metal band Trivium. He has been with Trivium since their formation in 2000[1]. Travis is best known for his very fast footwork; a skill that has been rewarded several times by music magazines such as Revolver and Modern Drummer as well as other media [2].

In Metal Hammer's Golden Gods Awards 2006, Travis received the "Best Drummer in the Universe" award.[3]

Smith uses a DDrum Dominion Ash drum kit deemed the "Warrior Kit" in lieu of the 400 spikes that adorn his kit, with his own personal design on the drums. He also uses Gibraltar Drumhardware; as well as DDrum electronics, Sabian cymbals, and Aquarian (as of January 2007) Texture coated heads on the tom batters and Hi-Frequency Black heads on the resonant sides, and Superkick II drumheads on the bass drum batters [1], and Ahead gloves. He also has his own signature drum sticks, made by Ahead.
