"Trapped In A Box" was the first single released by No Doubt from their self-titled debut album. The song is based on a poem guitarist Tom Dumont wrote about being addicted to television.[1] It achieved no status worldwide and the music video made for the song was never played by either MTV or VH1. The music video was directed by Mike Zykoff and was made with a mere $5,000 from the band's own money.
