Tone Damli Aaberge (born April 12, 1988 is a Norwegian singer who finished second in Season 3 of the Idol (Norway). Tone is originally from Sogndal but now lives in Oslo.

Tone grew up in Sogndal, and was the youngest of three siblings (Tale and Are). Her parents are Jon and Hilde. As a little girl she told her grandmother that she wanted to be a singer. At 9, she started learning singing at a proffessionals. But she was also into other activities such as football and handball. When she was in her early teens she joined a band called Sogn. They entered the UKM competition in Norway.* At age 15, Tone found out that having to deal with singing practise, football practise, handball practise (she was member of two teams) and focusing on getting good grades became too much. After a breakdown, she cut one of her handball teams, and the football team, and continued focusing on her other handball team, her singing, and her schoolwork. At age 16 she got into the music school Firda.

16 was going to be a big breakthrough for Tone. She went to an Norwegian Idol audition, and the judges doubtingly sent her among the 100 best. After a tight match, she was suddenly among the 40 best and heading for direclty sent shows on TV. She sang songs from Maroon 5, Norah Jones, Ephemera, Six Pence Non The Richer, Tracy Chapman, The Beatles, Marilyn Monroe, Moulin Rouge (the movie), Eva Cassidy and The Bangles. She was the years outsider, and when she suddenly reached the top three, among Jorun Stiansen and Alejandro Fuentes, the absolute public favorites, everybody knew she was going out of the competition. But performing an amazingly beautiful version of Eva Cassidys "Songbird", she got herself to the finale against Jorun Stiansen. Even though many argues about who sang better in the finale, Jorun Stiansen won. Everybody thought this was going to be the end for Tone, but she was about to prove them wrong. While spending the summer touring Norway with her fellow Idol stars, she had no idea what was coming to her.

The record label Sony BMG that usually accepts the Idol stars every year, chose to let Alejandro Fuentes make a record, and leave Aaberge without her own CD. But half a year after the finale it was known that Aaberge had been working on a record, and that she had been signed by EMI. Her debut album, "Bliss", was a mix of pop, jazz and country, and it sold very well, and received mixed critics. And her single "The Bliss Song", became a public favorite. She spent her winter promoting her CD, and held conserts for charity causes such as preventing cancer.

In spring 2006 Tone celebrated her 18th birthday. She was topping the most sexy lists over the whole nation, and it was no secret that she loved boys, and that they absolutely loved her. After breaking up with her boyfriend in early 2005, rumours had been traveling about Tone's love life, but she revealed that she remained single. It was pretty quiet around her until autumn, when she joined the Norwegian TVprogram "Skal Vi Danse?", the Norwegian version of "Dancing with the Stars". She came in #3. Her dancing partner was Tom Erik Nilsen, and rumours have it they are more than just friends.

Her second album came out in March 2007. And so did her single "Fever". She currently has a boyfriend and she is touring with other norwegian mucisians. The income of the tour is used to prevent cancer.
