Tom Boric was originally a professional soccer player for the Tampa Bay Rowdies. He started wrestling as Paul Diamond in 1985 in the Texas All-Star Wrestling promotion in San Antonio, Texas. He formed a tag team called "The American Breed" with Nick Kiniski and then a more successful team called "American Force" with Shawn Michaels.
In 1986, he went to Mid-Southern Wrestling and formed a successfual team called Badd Company with Pat Tanaka. They won several tag team titles while there.
In late 1987, they left Mid-Southern for the American Wrestling Association where they would win the AWA World Tag Team Champion and hold them for over a year. They were joined by manager Diamond Dallas Page and his Diamond Dolls during their title reign. They feuded with Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty, Chavo and Mando Guerrero, Ricky Rice and Derrick Dukes, and Ken Patera and Brad Rheingans. They also made some appearances in World Organization Of Wrestling(WOW)
Upon losing their titles in 1989 to Patera and Rheingans, they split with DDP and engaged in a brief feud (which began with DDP and Tanaka blaming Diamond for the title loss) before concentrating on singles competition. Tanaka left the AWA for the World Wrestling Federation in early 1990 to form a team with fellow AWA wrestler Akio Sato, managed by Mr. Fuji. Diamond soon followed and would eventually replace Sato as part of the team. Obviously not of Asian descent, Diamond was put under a mask and called "Kato". They were known in the WWF as The Orient Express rather than Badd Company. They did not achieve the success that they had in the AWA, primarily feuded with mid-card teams like The Bushwackers.
Diamond then became "Max Moon" but still had no success in the WWF. He soon left the company and wrestled in the independents.
He retired in 2001 to open a wrestling school called "Paul Diamond Hard Knocks Pro Wrestling Academy". He also runs Rocket City Wrestling in Huntsville, Alabama.
Diamond's finisher was the superkick, a move which he and Michaels learned in Texas from Gentleman Chris Adams, who competed against both Michaels and Diamond in San Antonio for Texas All-Star. He would often use it in tag team matches, with Pat Tanaka bridging the opponent from the impact of the superkick into a German suplex.
