Todd Terry

Todd Terry (born 12 November 1966 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American DJ and music producer and remixer. One of the producers helping to define New York's house music during the 1980s.[citation needed]
Terry's productions can be described as a varied smorgasbord of samples blending the sounds of classic disco, the more introspective Chicago sound pioneered earlier in the decade, plus plenty of hip-hop attitude and sampling piracy.[citation needed]
Much of Todd Terrys early work (late 80's) is considered a milestone in the development of both progressive and modern Deep House. Todd Terry has been responsible for releasing two of the most respected crossover remixes of the house era: "I'll House You" by the Jungle Brothers and "Missing" by Everything But the Girl.
Among his fans Todd Terry is known as "Todd the God" (or occasionally, simply "God").
Todd's tracks, "Something Goin On'" and "Keep on Jumpin" were both UK Top Ten hits, with the vocals provided by Jocelyn Brown and Martha Wash. Late-disco diva Shannon was the featured vocalist on the Top Twenty hit, "It's Over Love" in 1997.
Terry also has several aliases e.g: Swan Lake, Orange Lemon, Royal House, Black Riot, CLS, Masters at Work (though this is now redundant and is now used by Kenny ‘Dope’ & Louie Vega), Dredd Stock, House Of Gypsies, Limelife, Hard House, Tyme Forse, Gypsymen.
Todd Terry has been one of the best paid DJ in both Europe & USA. He normally performs on 4 turntables mostly playing his own tracks.
In October 2004 Weekend by Todd Terry appeared in popular videogame Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, playing on House Music radio station SF-UR.
