Timothy Tiberious "Timmy" Turner is a cartoon character in the American animated television series The Fairly Oddparents. He is the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Turner, and is a 10 year-old fifth grade student (fourth grade student in the first and second seasons) who secretly has fairy godparents; Cosmo and Wanda. Or, as the title said, they are called The Fairly Oddparents for sometimes doing weird things.
He is certainly smarter than adults and, due to the nature of the adults around him (all of them either cruel, stupid or insane), he has never really trusted them. In the TV movie Channel Chasers, the adult Timmy is incredibly ironic; he leaves his kids (Tommy and Tammy) with a sadistic babysitter (a robotic incarnation of Vicky), just like his parents did, and from our impression-- he is not particularly that smart. The message that can be inferred from this is that children have a kind of understanding that they gradually lose as they get older.
Somewhat unacceptable, he often tends to make his wishes without thinking about the possible consequences of his actions, or how to explain the outrageous things he wishes for to his friends and family.
Timmy is responsible for many historical twists, just two of these being the exposure of Denzel Crocker's fairy godparents (although they would have been revealed anyway by Cosmo), and getting South and North Dakota to settle their differences and become a single American state. Timmy also has heat vision (as in an episode of Season 1) and in a later episode of Season 4 he remembers his heat vision powers and manages to use it to his benefit.
Timmy develops somewhat of a catch phrase eventually; when asked where he obtains some of his extraordinary gifts (which he actually wishes through Cosmo and Wanda) he'll reply, "Uh, internet?".

Born Timothy Turner in Littleton, New Hampshire (Neighbor City Of Dimmsdale) on March 21, 1988, Timmy Turner has been a child fed up with life and wanting the chance to escape. His parents (who thought he was going to be a girl, hence the pink hat) are good-hearted, yet also incredibly careless and lie to him constantly. One of the fibs that Timmy's parents told him was they would travel to other parts of the world to deliver the spinach Timmy didn't want to eat until later. Timmy Turner was 8 years old when his parents told this particular lie to him.
Timmy took the fib too seriously and called up Vicky the Babysitter, not realizing the terror he had put himself into until it was too late. But a year later, as seen in the pilot episode, Cosmo and Wanda, Timmy's godparents came out of a Magic 9 Ball. At first Timmy said he was going to call the police, but after realizing what having fairy godparents meant, he grew to love them.
Having a very abnormal love life, his main crush is on a spoiled girl of Chinese heritage named Trixie Tang, who shows signs of indifference towards him. Timmy has tried as hard as he can to get on Trixie's good side, including making selfish wishes to be popular (in Trixie's first appearance, "A Wish Too Far!"), becoming a girl to find out what she wanted for her birthday (in "The Boy Who Would Be Queen"), and he even made it so the only life forms on earth were him and Trixie (in "Just the Two of Us"), or trying to serenade her on Valentine's Day (in "Love Struck!").
Nevertheless, other girls have huge crushes on him-- Veronica Star, Trixie Tang's best friend (this crush unknown to him until "Information Stupor Highway" and referenced again in "Mind Over Magic"), and Tootie, Vicky's little sister. He also had an affair with Cindy Vortex during an adventure where he accidentally switches places with Jimmy Neutron (The Jimmy Timmy Power Hour). Timmy's favorite comic book superhero is the Crimson Chin and Timmy is his sidekick-- Cleft, the Boy Chin Wonder.
Other characters important to Timmy include: his human friends Chester McBadbat, A.J., Elmer the Boil Kid, and Sanjay, plus singing sensation Chip Skylark (voice actor, Chris Kirkpatrick), whom he has helped several times; enemies such as Francis, Dr. Bender & Wendell, Happy Peppy Betty & Gary, Gary (his imaginary friend gone wrong), Remy Buxaplenty; and mystical creatures like Jorgen Von Strangle, Mama Cosma (Cosmo's mother), Big Daddy (from Big Wanda, as Wanda's Father), and Juandissimo Magnifico (Wanda's former beau, and Remy's fairy godparent).
Timmy is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Turner and grandson to Grandpa Pappy. He's also, in a future timeline, father to Tommy and Tammy Turner, though their mother's identity has not been revealed (probably Tootie or Trixie).
At the end of Channel Chasers, Tommy and his sister Tammy find the time capsule that their father, Timmy Turner, buried 20 years earlier. Tommy and Tammy live in the same house as Timmy's Mother and Father with their married parents, Timmy and his wife (whose name is never mentioned).
Tommy and Tammy are babysat by the Vicky-bot (The second robot version of Vicky--the first having appeared in an earlier episode in the series, "Power Mad").
- Tommy Turner (an older brother)
In the episode, "Oh, Brother" Timmy comes to the conclusion that his life would be easier if he had a big brother. Timmy made this wish after seeing Sanjay's relationship with his older teenage stepbrother. He wishes that he, too, had a perfect older brother. But Tommy turns out to be too perfect: he's a doctor, an accomplished singer, and has served time in an organization similar to the Peace Corps working in the country of Tibecuador (probably a parody of Tibet and Ecuador, which Timmy made up and wished was real to account for his brother's whereabouts all this time; even to his parents). But, like all of Timmy's wishes, Tommy backfires when he convinces their parents that Timmy's life would improve by doing some volunteer work in Tibecuador as well. Timmy finds out he can't wish Tommy away because Tootie has transferred her affections for Timmy to him, and as magic can't interfere with true love, Timmy has to once again endear himself to Tootie and turn her against Tommy so he can wish his brother away. Also, upon realizing that she has an eighteen year old son, Mrs. Turner begins to rapidly age in response to feeling old. Plus, Cosmo's jealousy is aroused when Wanda, like just about everyone else in the episode (except Cosmo) falls in love with Tommy. It seems that as of the end of this episode Tommy still exists, however: when Timmy wishes him away, he ends up back in Tibecuador, being the sickeningly perfect big brother figure to an island version of Timmy. When Tommy first appeared, the magical puff of smoke came with the name Wally Cleaver (the name of the older brother of the title character in Leave it to Beaver).
- Mary Kay Bergman (Oh Yeah! Cartoons)
- Tara Strong (The Fairly OddParents)
- Alec Baldwin (adult Timmy in Channel Chasers)
- Arianna López (Voice of Timmy on Latin America)
- Akeno Watanabe (Japanese Actress)
- Baby Timmy: Unknown age Timmy wished himself into this form 2 times and 3 times on accident he loses his buck teeth and his hat changes into a baby bonnet.
- 10 year-old Timmy: Is Timmy's actual age throughout the series. Timmy has no interest in girls at this age and won't until he's an 11 year-old.
- 11 year-old Timmy: Has slightly longer hair and a deeper voice than normal Timmy.
- 12 year-old Timmy: Is slightly taller than 11 year old Timmy. He has a deeper voice than 10 and 11 year-old Timmy. He has long hair and pimples and wears a shirt bearing the number 12.
- 13 and 14 years of age are unknown.
- 15 year-old Timmy: Is slightly taller than 12 year old Timmy.
- 16 year-old Timmy: Is much taller than 15 year old Timmy.
- 17 year-old Timmy: Is wearing a prom suit and has a very deep voice.
- 18 year-old Timmy: Has forgotten he had fairy godparents (signifying he has grown up). Evidently goes to college and plays on a football team.
- Adult Timmy: Two children Tommy and Tammy and he has a time capsule buried in his backyard.
- Older Timmy: Older with a deep voice, he wishes to be older but he somehow remembers his fairy godparents. He had to shave and he was put into jail for being creepy.
In the episode, "Chin Up!", Timmy accidentally revealed to the Chin that the Chin is just a comic book character, and the Chin lost his confidence. Timmy entered the universe of Crimson Chin, and helped him regain it, as Cleft the Boy Chin Wonder (a tribute to Robin from Batman), and acts as his sidekick. Cleft's powers are suit-based, and can pull any prop or weapon out of his cleft.Cosmo and Wanda act as Timmy's two dog sidekicks-- Ace the Chin-Hound and Clefto (a tribute to Batman's and Superman's respective super-pets; Ace the Bat-Hound and Krypto). Timmy Turner also defeates the Chin's evil twin, the Nega-Chin, under this Cleft alias. Timmy donnes the Cleft alter-ego in Crimson Chin bumpers aired on Nickelodeon and NickToons TV, and in the half-hour special "The Big Superhero Wish".
Mal-Timmy was created by A.J. and Mr. Crocker. A evil clone version of Timmy, he has four arms, black hair, claws and feet, a forked tongue, sharp yellow vampire teeth, red eyes and skin, pointed ears and a deep, growling voice and is voiced by Roger L. Jackson rather than Tara Strong. He has superhuman strength, flame breath, energy orbs and can disguise himself as Timmy. He is a thicker and more powerful version than his organic template, Timmy.
Nega-Timmy was created when Timmy's father told him to be good right after he wished to do the direct opposite of what ever his parents told him to. Nega Timmy has two fangs, red eyes, tan skin, wears a cloak, is extremely intelligent, and is evil (in short the exact opposite of Timmy). He was originally his evil form and is later his evil twin.
In the episode, "Love at First Height" Timmy wishes he had the body of a 16 year-old, hunky teenager but still have the mind of a 10 year-old boy; thus, becoming a "supermodel" (a reference to some supermodels' childish attitudes). When Vicky sits next to him on a roller coaster, he utters, "Gah!" as a startle response from being asked his name by Vicky. When asked, "What sort of name is 'Gah'?" he claims it is a Norwegian name.
In the episode, "Mighty Mom and Dyno Dad", Timmy wishes his parents were superheroes, but later regretted it when they were too busy saving the world to spend time with him. Timmy wishes their powers were gone but they were, "so superpowerful they were invulnerable to magic," and could only be wished back if they willingly gave up their powers, so Timmy wishes himself to become his comic books most powerful cosmic entity, Galactimus (who is pretty much a lookalike of the Marvel Comics books' cosmic entity Galactus.) Galactimus was able to defeat Mighty Mom and Dyno Dad, and ordered Cosmo and Wanda (who both looked like the Silver Surfer, but with skateboards instead of surfboards) to remove his parents powers.
In the TV movie Channel Chasers, an older version of Timmy appears, he's a muscular man mastering several ways of armed and unarmed combat. At first he's shown as a henchman working for Vicky, but it's later revealed to be doublecrossing her by preventing her to take over the world. After his timeline is changed, he is shown as a middle class worker, father to Tommy and Tammy Turner.
During the TV movie Abra-Catastrophe, Timmy fights Denzel Crocker (keeping his identity hidden through most of the conflict with help from his Groucho glasses) as of "One of America's most beloved comedians", a reference to Groucho Marx.
A native version of Timmy Turner seen in "Oh, Brother". His enemy is Francisco (a native version of Francis) and his new brother is Tommy.
Timantha is the female version of Timmy. In the episode The Boy who Would be Queen, Wanda turns Timmy into Timantha after he ridicules the prospect of being a girl so that it would be possible to find an ideal birthday gift for Trixie Tang. Timantha did however become best friends with Trixie when they met at Dimmsdale Mall.
- His trademark pink hat is due to his parents were expecting a girl as his mother was pregnant.
- Grandpa babysat Timmy when he was an infant, and due to letting him suck on a pacifier too long, is indirectly responsible for Timmy's buck teeth.
- Timmy is allergic to oranges and sauerkraut.
- Timmy Turner has only gotten A's on his tests five times. When he got an A in the episode "Cosmo Con," his friends started screaming as they thought the world was coming to an end.
- Timmy freaks out at seeing bare feet.
- Timmy is afraid of clowns. (Goof: In School's Out: The Musical, Timmy Turner near the end of the movie sees Flappy Bob and he is a clown. But Timmy Turner isn't scared at all. In fact, he seems very happy about this.)
- Timmy Turner lost his giant tooth twice.
