The Truth and the Light - Music from the X-Files is an album comprising excerpts of instrumental music scores from the first three seasons of the X-Files, along with portions of dialogue from the show. The music for the series was composed by Mark Snow and Jeff Charbonneau,[citation needed] but Snow receives credit. String and drum instruments are particularly apparent in many songs, however, the music on the album can best be described as ambient and electronic music with a darker side.
