The New Paper is Singapore's second highest circulating paid English-language newspaper, first launched on July 26, 1988 by Singapore Press Holdings (SPH). Its daily circulation is around 110,000.

The New Paper is a newspaper in tabloid form, and published daily in the afternoon, save Friday to Sunday when it hits the newsstands in the morning.

It is the second most-read paid English daily in Singapore, with an average daily readership of about half a million. It is often compared to the freesheet tabloid Today, although the latter positions itself against The Straits Times.

Much easier to read than The Straits Times, it targets readers with more eye-catching "tabloid"-style journalism coupled with often sensationalised headlines. It tends to highlight selected pieces of human stories everyday coupled with extensive sections on entertainment, fashion and sports, and with relatively little coverage on general current affairs from the local or international scene.

The New Paper is particularly noted for its coverage of soccer and the English Premier League.
