Hope Channel is an international Seventh-day Adventist TV network and the flagship station of the Adventist Television Network (ATN). Hope Channel features programming produced by Adventist churches, colleges, hospitals and institutions, covering religious, health, educational and family life topics. The network's theme is Bringing God's Truth Home.

Hope Channel is a 24-hour broadcaster on many satellite and cable networks around the world and is available over-the-air in some communities. It is also available for live Internet streaming from their website.

Contents

Hope Channel is broadcast in different flavors throughout the world:

  • Hope Channel (HC) - English
  • Hope Channel Europe (HCE) - English, Romanian, Portuguese
  • Hope Channel International (HCI) - English
  • Hope Channel Español (Esperanza) - Spanish and Portuguese

Its international outreach is furthered by local representatives. A case in point is Enoch Mogusu of Kisii, Kenya. When there was an evangelistic series in Mwanza, Tanzania, African volunteers were invited to come for training in how to use satellite dishes. Mogusu was concerned about the high cost of these imported dishes, so he went home and designed a much less expensive, but very effective version. He then trained 242 other metalworkers from various African countries, with an estimated 7,000 or more dishes made by them. From there, he went on to establish low power TV stations to broadcast downlinked Hope TV programs on local channels. The Hope Channel chose him to lead out in extending these stations throughout Africa.

The Hope Channel was launched October 10, 2003 by Adventist Television Network (ATN).
