The Telford Tigers are an ice hockey team, formed in 2001, although from 2001-2005 they were known as the Telford Wild Foxes. They changed to the Tigers name at the beginning of the 2005-06 season. The change has been hugely successful and the Tigers are back on the map not only in UK hockey but locally as well. They are based in Telford.

Telford Tigers were actualy formed in 1985 a year after the Telford Ice Rink was opened. The team then included Telford 'Legends' such as:

Chuck Taylor, Paul O'Higgins, Norman Pinnington, Mark Hazlehurst, John Wolfe, Kevin Conway, Grant Mitchell, Kel Land and Steven Molyneux.

Other notable players include:

Joe Watkins, Tom Watkins, Rick Plant and current player-coach Claude Dumas.
