Teesport is a large sea port located in borough of Redcar and Cleveland and the ceremonial county of North Yorkshire in North-East of England. It is one of the United Kingdom's three largest ports[1] and lies three miles (5 km) to the east of Middlesbrough. It is currently owned by PD Ports.
The port covers an area of 200 hectares (2 square kilometres) of land alongside the Southern bank of the River Tees. At its heart is Tees Dock, a deep-water facility some 5 nautical miles (9 km) from the sea. The estate is rail connected and close to the A66 trans-pennine route, and to other major trunk roads.
Facilities include a 294 metre Container Quay and Roll-on Roll Off (RORO) facilities
