Taylor met his wife, Natalie Anne Bryant, after a performance in Atlanta, Georgia in September 2000, during Hanson's This Time Around Tour, at the age of seventeen. They were introduced by one of the band's roadies. After dating for two years, nineteen year old Taylor and Natalie, (18), were married on 8 June 2002 at the Ida Cason Chapel in Pine Mountain, Georgia. The couple have three children: Jordan Ezra (31 October 2002), Penelope Anne (19 April 2005), and River Samuel (4 September 2006).

His siblings include Clark Isaac Hanson, Zachary Walker Hanson, Jessica Grace Hanson, Avery Laurel Hanson, Joshua Mackenzie Hanson, and Zoë Genevieve Hanson.
