Tay FM is an Independent Local Radio station commercial local radio station serving Dundee, Perth and the general Tayside area in Scotland. It is part of the Big City Network. Tay FM mainly plays Chart Music and and also airs hit40uk and formerly aired the Vodafone Live Hour. The weekly version of the Tay FM schedule is available on-line.

Radio Tay commenced broadcasting on the 17th October 1980 in Dundee and 14th November 1980 in Perth from the studios it still broadcasts from today at 6 North Isla Street in Dundee, near the city's Tannadice & Dens Park football stadia. The original schedule only broadcast from 6am-8pm daily.

On 9th January 1995 the station split its services/frequencies to become Tay FM and Tay AM. Both stations now also broadcast on DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting – i.e. Digital Radio) and over the internet via their respective websites.

Tay FM broadcasts on 102.8 FM in Dundee and 96.4 FM in Perth, and is the more contemporary of the two stations, mostly playing popular music and chart hits.

Tay News currently employs multiple broadcasting journalists with Alan Smith as Head of News. News Bulletins are broadcasted on the hour weekdays 6am-7pm, 10pm-2am and the news headlines at 7:30 & 8:30am and 4:30pm & 5:30pm. Saturdays 6am to 6pm then 10pm-2am. Sundays 6am-2pm and then further bulletins at 4pm, 7pm, 10pm-2am. Sport bulletins are presented daily during Breakfast, Lunch and Drivetime. Radio Tay Newsroom is currently staffed by 4 Broadcast Journalists. Alan Smith as Head of News and Gavin Butler is the Sports Editor.
