Tata TL is a pickup truck made by the Indian automaker Tata Motors.
Tatamobile 206 is introduced in 1988.
Tata 207 DI launched in 2002.
In 2005, Tata TL 4x4 was released in Indian market. It is the Tata's first (and India's second) offering in the lifestyle pick-up truck segment (after the neither-here-nor-there Mahindra Bolero Camper).
This is a spruced up version of Tata's hugely successful 207 DI pick-up which is popular with commercial transport operators.
It features a turbo charged 1948 c.c. diesel engine that produces 91 bhp. In addition there are bits such as a bull-bar, roll-over bar, power steering & air conditioning. Is available in both - single cab & double cab versions.
A redesigned Tata TL debuted at the 2006 Bologna Motor Show. It is expected to be released in 2007. The TL is powered by newly developed 2.2L common rail turbodiesel engine. This also featured the extended cabin for the first time.
The car will be also assembled in Thailand by Tata-Thonburi JV, and Argentina by Tata-Fiat JV. [1] [2]
