Tales of the Jedi: Dark Lords of the Sith is a six-part story arc in the Tales of the Jedi series of comic books written by Kevin J. Anderson. The first issue was published on 1 February 1996 by Dark Horse Comics. The story is set in the Star Wars galaxy 3,997 BBY years before the Battle of Yavin in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. It continues the tale of Ulic Qel-Droma and introduces the character of Exar Kun, a Dark Lord of the Sith. The story details how the Jedi, lead by Ulic Qel-Droma and Nomi Sunrider attempt to free the Empress Teta System from the tyrannical control of evil Dark Side adepts Satal and Alema.
