The high-definition feed of the Canadian premium television service TMN is also branded "MHD".

Music: High Definition or MHD is a 1080i high definition music television network that first aired on January 16, 2006. MHD shows music-related content from its owner, MTV Networks, a division of Viacom. From Vail, Colorado, MHD broadcasts programming from MTV, VH1, CMT and less frequently MTV2. In its early stages and limited broadcasting, only Verizon's FiOS TV, Charter, Comcast, DirecTV, Dish Network, Cox Cable, and Time Warner Cable currently distribute MHD. Cox systems has carried MHD since March 2006 in New Orleans, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, and Phoenix with Boston and Atlanta getting MHD through Comcast. In June 2006, Cox began carrying MHD in the Fairfax market, where the company competes with FiOS TV, which offers the networks. Charter followed suit in St. Louis July 18, 2006, and throughout their Northern Midwest systems in early November. Time Warner Cable began carrying the channel in some regions in late December, 2006. In 2007 Service Electric Cable Television began to carry the channel for those in northeastern and central Pennsylvania. On October 4, 2007, DirecTV began carrying the network. Initially, Mitsubishi Electric Digital Televisions [2] was the exclusive sponsor of MHD and continues to partially sponsor MHD as stated in commercials during breaks.

MHD currently employs three VJs – George Oliphant, Mayleen Ramey, and Jeremy Bloom.

• George Oliphant – MHD's host of UnCompressed, and alumnus of MTV Networks' mtvU and Nick GaS
• Mayleen Ramey – MHD's host of Roadie Trip. Ramey grew up in Turkey, Ecuador, Zambia, Malaysia, and the United States, where she moved at age eleven. She has also written for Audrey magazine, and has hosted on mtvU, E!, G4, ESPN2 and AZN TV.
• Jeremy Bloom – MHD's host of Video Stew. Bloom attended the University of Colorado, where he was a wide receiver in football. He is currently a member of the 2007 Philadelphia Eagles team, and has participated in the 2002, and 2006 Winter Olympics in mogul skiing.

Series:

• "UnCompressed'"', an MHD original series. From MHD's studio in Vail, Colorado, George Oliphant counts down popular HD music videos. Much like MTV's TRL, UnCompressed features artist news, interviews, performances, and world premiere music videos.
• "Story Tellers" from VH1. An hour-long show featuring famous singers and songwriters as they explain the stories behind their more popular songs. Artists include Green Day, Dave Matthews Band, Ray Davies, Elvis Costello, Melissa Etheridge, Garth Brooks, James Taylor, David Bowie, Eurythmics, The Pretenders, Stone Pilots, Bon Jovi, Pearl Jam, and Wyclef Jean.
• "Roadie Trip', an MHD original series. Mayleen Ramey hosts the domestic travel show exploring the musical history within certain US cities, and the iconic venues that demonstrate their music.
• "$2 Bill" from MTV2. Since 2002, the $2 Bill Concert Series has showcased performances from primarily the rock, alternative rock, rap, and hip-hop genres, within the United States. Now this program televising performances from the Beastie Boys, Dave Matthews Band, Dixie Chicks, Radiohead, Linkin Park, Coldplay, Snoop Dogg, The Roots, The Vines, The Strokes, Yellowcard, andKanye West.
• "Unplugged" from MTV. As the name implies, no electric instruments are used in MTV's Unplugged, showcasing the performer's raw vocals, since 1989. Nirvana, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, and Mariah Carey were some of the show's more notable acts.
• "Life & Rhymes" from MTV. A show that explores several emcees' raps through each live performance. The title derives from an obvious play on the phrase "the life and times of…", hinting towards the advertised intimacy of the show with the featured rapper.
• "CMT Crossroads" from CMT. Concerts and discussions of country artists with musicians from other genres.

Current Specials on MHD include the "MTV Europe Music Awards", "Video Music Awards", "CMT Music Awards", "VH1 Hip Hop Honors" and "MTV Live" (a world-wide concert series).
