Stars is the twelfth studio album by American singer Cher, released in 1975 by Warner Bros. Records. The album was one in a string of commercial flops for Cher in the 1970s. It was produced by Jimmy Webb, and peaked at #153 in the United States.
The album is considered by many of her die-hard fans to be her greatest recording in her entire 40+ year career, and there are fan-created petitions for Warner Brothers to release the album onto CD format. The album remains unreleased to this date on anything post-vinyl, and there are no announced plans to release the album onto CD or iTunes.
