Standard Chartered Bank Limited is Pakistan's oldest and largest foreign bank with over 150 branches in the region.
In 2006 Standard Chartered Bank acquired 81% of the outstanding shares of Union Bank. Standard Chartered will merge Union Bank with its own subsidiary, Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan), to create Pakistan's sixth largest bank.
