St Michael's Hamlet

St Michael's Hamlet is a suburb of Liverpool, Merseyside. It is located to the south of the city, bordered by Dingle, Mossley Hill and Aigburth.

In 1901, St Michael's was the richest parish in the country, reflecting the wealth of Liverpool and the status of the area. Its parish church is of a cast-iron construction by John Cragg, who was also responsible for St George's and St Philip's.

It is to the West of Aigburth Road, near Sefton Park and is a quiet and pleasant residential area. Housing is a mix of semi-detached and terraced houses, with a few exclusive detached developments near the waterfront. It is a small district and, as such, is sometimes considered part of Aigburth, an adjacent suburb which is larger.
