From 1967 to now, Sharm el-Shiekh the song is an astonishing melody that covers the war. Here is the story of how Sharm el-Shiekh, the hit came to be.







Sharm el-Sheikh, the song was sung and written (music and Eng. words) by Ron Eliran and was also written (Heb. words) by Amos Ettinger.

It was the 6-day war of the Israelis against the Arabs in 1967. Israel emerged victorious against all odds. Ron Eliran volunteered at the start of the war to entertain the troops. On the road between one military to another in the Sinai Desert, the song Sharm el-Sheikh was born!


Israelis everywhere fell under the spell of this beautiful hit. As a matter of fact, Sharm el-Sheikh granted Ron a gold record! It was not only heard and enjoyed in Israel, but in the United States of America as well.
