Saz

The saz is a member of the long-necked lute family which arrived in Asia minor. The saz was descended from the kopuz; this is a generic name for several forms of stringed instrument. The Saz is used in Ottoman classical music, Turkish folk music, Kurdish music, Azeri music and Persian music.
