The San Jose Stealth are a member of the National Lacrosse League, the professional box lacrosse league of North America. They play at the HP Pavilion, which is also the home of the NHL's San Jose Sharks and the AFL's San Jose SaberCats. They relocated to San Jose, California in 2003, beginning play in the 2004 NLL season. They had previously been the Albany Attack from 2000 to 2003.
Starting goalie Anthony Cosmo played as the starting goalie for the 2006 West Division All-Star Team. Forward Derek Malawsky (now with Arizona) also played for the West, scoring 1 goal and 2 assists.
In the 2006 regular season, Cosmo was the third best goalie in the league with a 10.38 goals against average (GAA), right behind Steve Dietrich of the Buffalo Bandits (9.97 GAA) and Gee Nash of the Colorado Mammoth (10.29 GAA). (In save percentage he was 6th in the league.) In 2005 Cosmo was in 5th place with a 12.28 GAA and Steve Dietrich was in 1st with only a 10.96 GAA.
