Robot Jox is a 1990 science fiction movie directed by Stuart Gordon.

The film is set in a post nuclear war world in which war has been outlawed. Instead, all conflicts between nations are resolved by one-on-one battles between giant robots, piloted by "jox". The plot of the movie centers around Achilles, a world-renowned pilot, fighting the ruthless Alexander for control of the territory of Alaska. Meanwhile, the genetically enhanced cadet Athena strives to prove that she is just as skilled as Achilles or any other male pilot. The catch phrase "crash and burn" (used in the same sense that "break a leg" is used in theatre circles) is used by the pilots throughout the movie.

Robot Jox was nominated for Best Film for the 1990 International Fantasy Film Award. It also spawned the 1993 sequel Robot Wars.
