Researchers’ Night in Sweden

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Researchers´ Night was held for the first time in 2005, and many different events were organised across Sweden. Year 2006, events took place in nine different regions: Gothenburg, Kalmar, Kristianstad, Lund, Skellefteå, Stockholm, Trollhättan, Umeå and Örebro. In addition there was opportunity to pose questions and chat online to researchers during the day.

The Swedish activities were being coordinated under the name ForskarFredag (Research Friday) by the organisation Vetenskap & Allmänhet (Public & Science). Financial support was given by the European Commission, the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research, the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet) and VINNOVA.
