Remy Buxaplenty (a pun based on his wealth) is a fictional character created for The Fairly OddParents, although he does not appear often on the show. He is a spoiled rich kid who likes to flaunt his riches by introducing himself as someone who is "richer than you will ever hope to be." In the occasions where he does appear, he is usually a rival to protagonist Timmy Turner and is constantly spoiling Timmy's activities. He bears some resemblance to the characters Richie Rich and Eustace Strytch.

Remy's first appearance comes in the episode "Fairy Fairy Quite Contrary", where Timmy and friends are first in line and waiting in line for hours to be the first kids to see a superhero movie, Remy cuts in front of everyone and buys out the entire thearter. The kids cheer, but then Remy said that they are for his piles of money to be placed. Then he robs Timmy of his goals and even usurps his position as The Crimson Chin's sidekick in Timmy's own comic book. (In the latter predicament, Remy goes under the alias Cleft, Rich Boy Chin Wonder). As Timmy soon finds out, Remy really has just as miserable a life as he does, in spite of his Richie Rich-esque wealth. Remy's parents (who are only shown from the waist down, in a nod to how Mr. and Mrs. Turner were depicted in the Oh Yeah! Cartoons shorts) ignore him in a similar fashion (though they do not leave him with an evil caretaker like Timmy's parents do). Similar to Timmy's own fairy godparents Cosmo and Wanda, Remy's only true friend is his fairy godparent Juandissimo Magnifico (Wanda's ex-boyfriend). The boys duke it out in a magical duel, in which the loser would forget ever having a fairy godparent. In the end, Remy loses Juandissimo, but Timmy, having garnered pity for Remy over the course of the duel, wishes that Remy be able to spend more time with his parents.

Although Remy's debut episode ended with him having no memory of Juandissimo and him, along with his parents, stranded on a deserted island, he returned a few seasons later in "Remy Rides Again". Here, in a plot involving Juandissimo and Jorgen Von Strangle, Remy tries to make Timmy too happy to have fairy godparents (a plot already tried by Anti-Cosmo in the comics) by performing deeds so nice for him that he almost no longer has use for Cosmo and Wanda. In the end, it was revealed that Remy got his memories about Timmy and his fairy godparents after he got hit with a purple coconut, which was Juandissimo in disguise. For his own reasons, Jorgen allowed Juandissimo and Remy to reunite.

In spite of losing Juandissimo earlier, the two were reunited for "The Big Bash" (which mistakenly aired before "Remy Rides Again" in the United States). Here, Remy and Timmy compete for some rule-free wishes by going on a cross-time scavenger hunt, whilst Cosmo and Juandissimo make a bet for a nickel that Wanda would marry either one (with the winner getting Wanda and the nickel). In the end, when Timmy and Remy discovered that Cupid is just using them to do his grocery shopping for him so he can make breakfast, they make a truce, and sent out creatures to attack Cupid. (As for the bet, Wanda found out about it from a leprechaun on the scavenger hunt, and like Timmy and Remy did with Cupid, she sent creatures after Cosmo and Juandissimo to get revenge).

Butch Hartman, creator of The Fairly OddParents, has stated that Remy is one of his favorite characters. In fact, it seems that he had already intended on bringing the character back to the show shortly after "Fairy Fairy Quite Contrary" originally aired - Remy's parents make a brief cameo in the Halloween special "Scary Godparents!" A locker with the name R. Buxaplenty is seen in Escape From Unwish Island

Remy is voiced by Dee Bradley Baker.
