Radio Classics is an US old time radio network owned by Media Bay, Inc. It provides the radio show selection for both XM Satellite Radio's and Sirius Satellite Radio's separate, 24-hour old-time radio stations. It also syndicates the Radio Spirits-branded When Radio Was radio show to over 250 terrestrial radio stations. In addition, Radio Classics has a monthly online subscription service, providing subscribers with unlimited streaming and twenty hours per month of downloads of old time radio shows that have appeared on past When Radio Was, Radio Super Heroes, Radio Movie Classics, or Radio Hall of Fame (special edition of When Radio Was that focuses on Radio Hall of Fame inductees) installments.[1]

Shows broadcast by Radio Classics include The Jack Benny Program, Abbott & Costello, Gunsmoke, and Dragnet.

Contents

XM Channel 164 is programmed by Greg Bell, who has previous radio experience as a program director, news director, sports director, anchor, and reporter.[2] Shows are rotated in different time slots on a weekly basis, in order for members of the audience from different time zones to be able to to hear a show at least once. Commercials are regularly played during the radio shows in the spaces that originally incorporated them; some of these are the original vintage commercials, while most are modern commercials provided by XM.

Sirius plays old time radio content on channel 118 RadioClassics.
