The RM postcode area, also known as the Romford postcode area[2], is a group of 20 postal districts in north east Greater London which are subdivisions of nine post towns.
The main sorting office is in Romford and the area served includes parts of the London Borough of Havering, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and the London Borough of Redbridge. Part of the Thurrock unitary district is also covered by the postcode area and a small part of the Epping Forest and Brentwood districts of Essex are included in the RM4 postal district.
