Pro Wrestling Alliance (PWA) is an independent professional wrestling promotion based in Houston, Texas. Started in 2006 by WWE superstar Booker T., its strong ties to World Wrestling Entertainment allow it to utilize otherwise-restricted WWE talent, unlike its local competition.

Booker has stated in an article on WWE.com that he hopes to restore the glory days of wrestling in Houston, citing such promotions as Paul Boesch's Houston Wrestling promotion, which flourished throughout the majority of the 20th century. Booker cites his connections with WWE as key to making that happen.
