Prisoner is the sixteenth album by Cher, released in 1979. This was Cher's second album of 1979 - Take Me Home was released earlier that year. However, unlike the record preceding it, Prisoner was somewhat unsuccessful - but still sold over 1 million copies in the United States alone.
Prisoner has been released on CD together with Take Me Home, in a CD entitled, The Casablanca Years. This CD unites all the tracks from both albums, merging them onto one single CD.
