Paul Barsky

Paul Barsky is a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania talk radio personality. Currently featured on WYSP, Barsky has previously been a fixture on other Philadelphia radio stations, including the now defunct Y100.

Paul Barsky began his Philadelphia radio career in 1982 when he was hired by WCAU-FM to host their morning drive. When Barsky left WCAU-FM in 1985, his morning show, "Hot Hits," had turned into a ratings leader and was one of the most listened to Top 40 shows in the country. After WCAU-FM, Barsky brought his talents to the Windy City, one of the nation's most competitive radio markets, where in two years at WLS-FM, he took his morning show from 20th place in the ratings book to a 5th place ranking.

After a brief stint in station ownership, Barsky longed to return to his first love, morning radio, and in 1991 he joined Houston's KRBE, hosting the morning drive show. Barsky returned to Philly in 1993 to take over the morning drive at WPLY, where he turned "The Barsky Show" into one of the market's top rated shows. He was most recently the morning host at WMMR.

Prior to his current gig at WYSP, Barsky worked at WPTP 96.5, "The Point," owned by Beasley Broadcasting Group Inc (BBGI). Barsky was not only morning DJ, but also program manager. BBGI suddenly made a format change at WPTP and Barsky lost his morning show. He was still retained as program manager, but soon left. A lawsuit for breach of contract was filed by Barsky, leading to a settlement out-of-court. Rumor has it that Barsky relocated to Florida, but soon after the long court proceedings, Barsky was announced and appeared as a new DJ on WYSP after Howard Stern's move to Sirius Satellite Radio in January 2006.

Paul Barsky currently hosts The Barsky Show from 9 A.M.-1 P.M. on WYSP. Barsky shares the spotlight with co-hosts Kim Douglas and "Vinnie the Crumb".
