Pariah
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pariah, originally the name of the Pariah caste of Indian Hindu society, has gained widespread use as an analogy, especially in the phrase social pariah, as a term for anyone considered an outcast or different by others. An early recorded use in English of the term can be found in a 1850 speech on Greek foreign affairs made by British politician Palmerston.[1] The word is sometimes considered to be offensive.
