The PSA Group sells a variety of diesel automobile engines with the HDi designation. Some are in-house designs, but later versions were built as part of a joint venture with Ford Motor Company and are part of the Ford Duratorq engine family.

The 1.4 L (1398 cc) Diesel is part of the PSA/Ford DLD family and is properly called the DLD-414.

The 1.6 L (1560 cc) Diesel is part of the PSA/Ford DLD family and is properly called the DLD-416.

The 8-valve 2.0 L DW10 Peugeot/Citroën Diesel is part of PSA's PSA EW/DW engine family. This engine is also used by the Ford Focus. Note that there is also a similar joint vendure ZSD engine which uses the same cylinder casings but has a 16-valve head.

The 2.2 L DW12 Peugeot/Citroën Diesel is part of PSA's PSA EW/DW engine family.

The 2.7L DOHC 24 valves biturbo V6 DW17 is also produced by the Ford/PSA joint venture, and is the only diesel engine used in PSA passenger vehicles that was not designed or built by them. This particular engine was designed by Ford at their Dunton and Whitley research centres, and is built in Dagenham, England.
