Orestes Destrade

Orestes Destrade (Born May 8, 1962) is a retired Cuban Major League Baseball infielder. He came to the United States with his family when he was six. He attended Florida College for two years, where he was a junior college All American.
After college, he played four seasons (1987 with the New York Yankees, 1988 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and 1993 and 1994 for the Florida Marlins) for three teams including two seasons for the Florida Marlins. He also played 5 seasons (1989, 1990, 1991, 1992 and 1995) for the Seibu Lions of the Japanese Pacific League, where he led the league in home runs for three consecutive years.
Destrade currently appears on ESPN's Baseball Tonight and provided color commentary for the 2006 World Baseball Classic. He is also co-host of XM Radio's Baseball This Morning show on MLB Home Plate radio along with Buck Martinez and Mark Patrick.
Orestes is a father of three children: Danielle, Devin,and Armando.
