  • The Netherlands The single most important international pioneer in military OSINT is Research Arno Reuser, head of the Open Source Intelligence branch of the Dutch Military Intelligence organization.   • United States of America Within the USA, there are diverse military efforts to collect and exploit OSINT. The U.S. Special Operations Command is widely recognized as the most effective operationally-oriented OSINT unit. According to a press release, the U.S. Strategic Command recently awarded a contract to SOS International valued at over $65 million dollars, for the purpose of Foreign Media Monitoring in support of Information Operations. The U.S. Central Command funds OSINT in support of MNF-I as well as red cell and future plans activities. Each of the Service intelligence centers has a modest OSINT capability.
