Water nymphs

In the Draim trading card game Draim arena, water nymphs are said to be childrens lost souls, for ever bound to the water with the never fading Mareld, the spirit of sea and lakes.

Water nymphs (also known under the names "draxians" south backian, "nixians" north backian or "gwerget ainon", disian) are intangible and eteric beings with motives often cloaked in dim. With their songs they are able to entice the rambler away from his path and the soldier from his host, leading them out in the water towards a certain death. Whereever there is water, in every watercourse, lake, marsch or swamp, even in every single puddle, the water nymphs can appear. The spur to their behaviour is unknown to the most. What is known, however, is that you might see the water nymphs dance on the isle Felur on the vernal equinox. This is, though, something that very few sailors have had the chance to return and tell. To avoid seduction from the water nymphs, you should never look into water linked to the ground too long. You can also put bee wax in your ears so that you don´t hear the water nymph songs. If you see a person getting fooled into the water by the water nymphs you should break the water surface with an iron object. The water nymphs then releases their prey for a moment which gives the opportunity to save the person from drowning.

Water nymphs are very fragile beings with large almond shaped eyes and a hair, which sometimes gives the impression of floating in the air. The body is slightly transparent and sometimes seems to consist of water. Sometimes at the nights the water nymphs floats over lakes and emits a weak green light. Around the water nymphs a thin mist abades on the water surface. Because of the fact that water nymphs don't seem to be a natural spieces, there is no accessible information about average age, social relations and such. It is highly unclear wheter water water nymphs has any kinship with the merriads of Eleon, which are said to be commanded by the enigmatic seerå Glaistigh or with the ”risilkies” which seems to inhabit the cave lakes of Bergia.
