Nicole des Jardins Wakefield

Nicole des Jardins Wakefield (born 9 January 2164) is a fictional character and the central protagonist of the three sequels to Rendezvous with Rama by Arthur C. Clarke and Gentry Lee. She is an African-European woman, of heritage from both France and the Ivory Coast.

Nicole has appeared in three Arthur C. Clarke books: Rama II, The Garden of Rama and Rama Revealed.

Amy Hunter portrays her in PC game RAMA by Sierra Entertainment.

Nicole's children, born after she and her colleagues are marooned on Rama, are the core of the community the explorers have formed.
